Shall I have my hair braided?

I have very long fair straight hair, i am horrible at up-dos. Should i have it braided for some time?

I look funny too, i have a very fair complexion, but if it was darker, i would look like a black or mulatto girl, because of my kinda round nose, shape of the eyes and lips.

Also i wonder if braiding would harm my hair.

I am just wondering, really need advice.

Shall I have my hair braided?

Well if ur white and ur hair is fine u should NOT do it, a lot of white women make this same mistake when they go on vacation. Most people braid the scalp and not the hair that means when u see those girls w/ every single strand pulled so hard it looks like they can't blink and u get little bumps all around.when u braid the hair right that will not happen and synthetic hair will choke the hair shaft and the hair it self. And the oil u need to use is called WILD GROWTH OIL all u need is about 4 or 5 drops in the palm of ur hand rub it in ur scalp and hair and do this 4 the next 5 months and only trim ur hair every 5 months so u can see the new growth. e-mail me or im and let me know how it gos.

Go right ahead.

Shall I have my hair braided?

Braiding does cause some damage, so it is not best for white hair texture. And it doesn't stay as long. I'd say all out no.

Shall I have my hair braided?

I see nothing wrong with the way it is in the pic, but if you would like to have it braided then go ahead. I don't think that there are any harmful effects from braiding ones hair, but I am by no means an expert.

Surely a creative person such as yourself could come up with many different styles in which to wear your hair, but again I see nothing wrong with it as is.

Shall I have my hair braided?

no...get a perm instead. Braiding messes up your hairline and you lose hair.

Shall I have my hair braided?

No one looks funny. Everyone is unique. You've got to do what's right for you. Get it braided. Change is nice.

Shall I have my hair braided?

On your hair, braiding will cause about 10% - 15% damage (meaning: this amount of hair you will lose if you braid.)

Shall I have my hair braided?

From the look of it on your picture, you have beautiful straigh hair. I wouldn't touch it.

Shall I have my hair braided?

braiding can be an great style for an extended period of time. the process can take some time and therefore wearing the style would be best to keep it more than a day or two considering the time to endure while your being done. small braids can be very sexy also.

Shall I have my hair braided?

it wont harm your hair i have very long hair too

i think you should braid it right after you have finished a bath

hope that helps

Shall I have my hair braided?

I think your hair is very pretty and you should leave it the way that it is, if you have healthy hair right now, you will damage it badly if you braid it or perm it

Shall I have my hair braided?

Well,.....depends a lot on your hairstylist creativity and your maintainence of crowning glory.....

To me, as long as you have the personality to carry off the hairstyle you desire, it shouldn't matter whatever your hair colour or complextion gives.....

Light coloured hair? You can dye it with darker colours...

Fair skin? A light tan should be alright....somewhat close to light mocha.

Well, if I were you, I could give it a try ....

Shall I have my hair braided?

you could just cut it shorter, braiding it can be damaging as you cant wash it properly, it's not good to let oil build up on your scalp

Any women in Kansas City,MO area or close by need their hair braided?

I am a teen looking for a way to get extra money by staying out of trouble and I love to braid hair. I can do simple styles like french braids, pixie braids, and any single braids. The only thing I cant do is micro braids but I do an excellent job at the braiding styles that I can do. I can also do childrens' hair. For french braids with natural hair I charge $15 and with attached hair I charge $25. For pixie braids I charge $60 and for long single braids I charge $65-$80 depending on how long the braids are. For any questions or appointments you can contact me by email at ayayanna_sexy_cutie@yahoo.com

How can I stop my hair from becoming tangled when I take my braids out?

I recently took out my microbraids and my hair was tangled and knotted when I washed it. Not to long ago I had cornrows (which was in January). It seems like whenever I get my hair braided it tangles up when I wash it? But whenever I braid someone elses hair my hair doesn't do like that. Am I the only person whoses hair gets like this? What Can I do to stop it from Tangling up like that? Is it my hair or is it the people who does my hair?

ONLY ANSWER IF YOU HAVE HAD BRAIDS BEFORE OR YOU KNOW A SOLUTION.And please no stupid answers just to get 2 points.

How can I stop my hair from becoming tangled when I take my braids out?

get some leave in conditioner spray, and spray that on your hair everyday, that way your hair dosent break off as easily when you take out your braids, and it will help with the tangles

How can I stop my hair from becoming tangled when I take my braids out?

I like your answer but I don't think that I can do that since I have African American hair which is not meant to washed all the time. But those of you who gave helpful solutions thank you next time I get braids I will be sure to use them. Report It

You are suppose to comb out your hair with a wide tooth comb first then shampoo your hair.

How can I stop my hair from becoming tangled when I take my braids out?

I find that when Afro hair is wet it is easy to deal with if you wet it and use an Afro comb and comb the ends of your hair working your way up u should be cool.you can also buy sprays for tangled hair that do work. But I don't know why your hair tangles when braided my hair is braided all the time and never tangles.

How can I stop my hair from becoming tangled when I take my braids out?

first question?...do you supply your own hair or does your braider get it for you? Next: before washing: use a boar bristle brush to make sure there are no tangles before wetting it down , don't just wet your hair and pile it on top of your head to wash it, more like using a neutralizing shampoo after a perm. Use a good leave on conditioner to comb through . Start at the bottom near the neck and slowly work up the head. I've dealt with a few of those Don King issues in the salon. Full head weaves that turned into 1 solid dreadlock. If this doesn't help you, I would opt for better hair.

How can I stop my hair from becoming tangled when I take my braids out?

Hi, I used baby oil. I saturated my head with baby oil and just kept combing. Start combing with a wide tooth comb at the bottom and work your way up. little at a time. Be Patient and go easy they will loosen up. I also waited about 5 minutes before I started combing.Let the oil saturate first. Or comb your hair with water running over it. They say not to do that but it works and sometimes you have no choice.

It might also happen if your hairs tangly and then you take out the pony tail, it happens too me! Hahaha but thats a great question! Theres probaly another awnser from a smarter person haha!

Does it matter whether i get my hair braided with weaeve or not?

well my hair is a good length almost to the middle of my back. Im about to get it braided with weave in micros tomorrow. But everybody keeps bothering me telling me i dont need to but i want to.

Does it matter whether i get my hair braided with weaeve or not?

The weave will protect your hair from day-to-day elements. You know, heat, sun, weather etc.. and make the braids last longer.

If your hair is that long you can plan on sitting there for quite a while, especially if you want micro braids. If you are leaving some of the hair loose (not braided to the end) make sure you are washing and conditioning your hair often to keep your natural hair from drying and and splitting. Also, braiders sometimes clip the hair that is sticking out of the braids to clean it up at the end. If you have freshly had your ends clipped you want to be careful on just how much she wants to "clean up" (she could be clipping quite a lot). You probably want it braided because you like the style and want the manageability, so go for it.

Does it matter whether i get my hair braided with weaeve or not?

why would ou want to put weave in if u already got long hair? it makes no sense unless you're gonna get something which looks completely different from your natural hair, or u jus want to braid in order to give ur natural hair a break from processing, chemicals etc.

Does it matter whether i get my hair braided with weaeve or not?

I am confident that u DO NOT need to get ur hair braised with weave Why would u and ur hair is long enough already? Ur hair would look natural if u just braided ur real hair. But if u want to go ahead because u want to..

I want to get my African American hair braided for summer?

I want to get my hair braided for the summer but I'm not sure where to go. Someone suggested a beauty college. Would this be a better choice than a regular salon?

I want to get my African American hair braided for summer?

Well going to a beauty college will definately get you a great deal! Although you might be taking the risk of it not being done correctly. If you want to be 100% safe go to a beauty salon. If you want a less expensive job go to the beauty college.

I want to get my African American hair braided for summer?

u can go to a beauty school just mak sure u ask to see there work, but if your not worreid about how much it will cost i say go to a braid shop.

I want to get my African American hair braided for summer?

I want to get my African American hair braided for summer?

I'm thinking that you probably know someone who can braid your hair for less than both of those businesses. Everybody knows somebody that can hook them up.

I want to get my African American hair braided for summer?

Girl, I'm sure you know someone from the hood that can hook you up. Those girls are the best! I'm serious. Ask around and find someone in your area that do braids at their house. They do just as good as us professionals.
