Best salon you can recommend for braiding?

I know a place where to get wicked braids, but it is not a salon. It's a body modification shop in Alabang Town Center and they also do braids and cornrows. It is basically a stall near The Pancake House (when you go thru the entrance at the Cinema section).
I have been trouble trying to find the web site that I seen on TV which makes the top of your hair different styles with one single piece of device I don't know if it's a comb... please help

The biblical passage to which you're referring (1 Corinthians 11) is addressing women who dressed up like prostitutes then came to church. It's not a slam against jewelry in and of itself.
However, Christians are to be humble and not store up treasures on the earth, so in that sense, you have a valid point.

The passage is not forbidding those things. it is saying that is not what your beauty should be based on.
On the other hand, if you were exposed to a little bit of the needless suffering in this world, you would probably think twice about some of those expenses, and try to give a little more where it could help.
However the braided hair passage is NOT a prohibition, but telling you what should make you really beautiful.
I'm sure that's at the top of their list along with shunning porks and devil people, aren't they just nice?

The 'christians' who are, are usually the ones that are afraid to ask God for those things...it is the LOVE of those things that is not good and if you love things more than you love God that's when the problem start

It depends on which church you go to. Jim Baker and Tammy Faye didn't have any problem with living like a king and queen. The pope and cardinals don't do bad for themselves either.
Nothing ungodly about wearing nice things. The exhortation to look humble was to have a humble look about us, meaning our attitude, not to walk around proud.
Jesus wore a nice tunic. At His crucifixion the Roman soldiers cast lots for this garment because it was made from a single piece of material and they didn't want to tear it up dividing it among themselves.

well... some denominations are against all of that. some have various standards of dress. for example, some pentocostal churches require no makeup, not cutting hair (for females) wearing little or no jewelry, and wearing long skirts. most denominations encourage modesty.... except catholics!! and i'm allowed to say that because 1/2 my family is catholic.
and yes, i agree with the bible can't necessarily be taken literally... because it was passed through many sets of hands
some are against it... some are not... i braid my daughters hair all the time... i wear jewelry... i think it all has to do with the motive of your heart and not the outside 'garb' of life... if people would stop judging by the outsides and look inside people's hearts.... that is what is important.
I get tired of people who say 'so n so dresses so grubby for church' ... or 'my goodness, that shirt is awful low cut' or 'that skirt is too short'
my feeling is taht God wants us to come worship him just the way we are... we do not have to put on airs... nor do we have to 'dress down'.... God knows the motives of our hearts!
I don`t have a problem with it.Some churches say you shouldn`t draw attention to yourself.I`ve heard it said that by women looking good that they could cause a man to lust after them.I don`t believe any of that,I think you should dress according to the way you feel.If your a christian your going to dress to look good in your own eyes and Gods.Jewelry is another put down in some churches.They say you shouldn`t spend money on things while others are going hungry.But Then you`ll see them driving a real high price car.There`s no commandment saying what you should wear being its clothes or jewelry.I believe the braided hair is mentioned in the Bible but I`d have to look it up,I have a feeling its probably some custom that wasn`t from the Christians but probably the gentiles.So it was probably frowned upon for some reason back then in the early church.Like I said I`d have to go back and study on that one.
The apostel Peter was addressing the culuture of his today. He sent a message to the Jews not to imitate worldly people and their lust for material things. It is okay for Christians to wear jewelry and nice clothes, but not to lust and over accessorize as the world does. Remember king Solomon was filthy rich. As for the "braids", this was in reference to Jewish women who were braiding their hair to say they were manly in nature or the man in their household. The braiding of hair was something on the men did in Jewish culture and was identified with men. For a women to braid her hair, she was saying she held the role of a man.

was speaking with a woman today that complimented me on my sons hair.( Basic small braided back.) She then asked what kind of machine did i use to do his hair. I replied: machine, as if saying what the ****. and she said yeah machine their so straight it looks like a machine did it. so on that note is there something i don't know? Many many years back they started marketing a french braiding tool. Don't remember the name of it though.

Braids are very good for your hair and helps you grow your hair out, especially in the winter time. Trust me I know I braid hair myself....so definately go with braids and maitain it well.

Corn rows give your hair more volume while single braids make them grow longer. Here are some cues to help you out :

you can't leave your extensions in for more than 3 weeks

wash and condition your hair at least once a week

There have been a lot of guys contact me (I work at a Hair Braiding shop) wanting to either make thier dreadlocks longer or turn their medium afro into dreadlocks that fall down their backs. Ive started out some of these same guys baby dreads for them but I have no idea how to add extensions that look real. I know the double ended dreadlock technique and that works really great on my clients with really straight and fine hair but the more course the hair gets the less attractive the finished product. I need to know how to add dreadlock extensions to kinky hair so that it mixes in perfectly and adds length and if you can add extensions to hair that isnt dreaded already. Will It in any way be possible for me to turn a 3 inch afro into waist length dreadlocks that look real and all natural? Thank you for reading this and all of your help is MUCH appreciated. The dread lock extensions on males really do not look natural, in my opinion. You could try adding the afro-kinky type hair by braiding just 2 or 3 times and then doing a coil type twist. I've never done this, but that's the only option I can think of. The kinky twists would just look - well, horrible for a guy. There are of course the sealed type of extensions that you could possibly do with the kinky hair, but again, how great will that look on a guy. I would suggest experimenting on a guy to see what can work. Otherwise, stick with telling them that you can do baby locks to start and they will have to just grow it out naturally like everyone else who has locks.
