What is the shortest amount of time i have to have for all my braided hair to become curly?

Yesterday i got my hair done like that, what is the shortest amount of time it takes for my hair to become curly with them, so i can take them out?

http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im...

What is the shortest amount of time i have to have for all my braided hair to become curly?

I usually dampen or wet and towel dry my hair first, Blow dry them dry and just scrunch them with gel after i take them out, DO NOT BRUSH THEM, they will frizz up. If you want to leav them in about 6 hours will make your hair hair wavy for a day. I usually keep mine in for a day, the take it out. Lasts a couple of days. Once you wash it though, it comes out. Only run ur fingers through it if u need to. like i said, brushing it and combing it will only frizz it

What is the shortest amount of time i have to have for all my braided hair to become curly?

if you had it braided wet it will stay curly as soon as its dry. Braiding your hair alone isnt going to make it permanently curly, you would need to get a perm

HOW LONG IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET MY HAIR BRAIDED? It's my first time...?

It's been three months since I had my hair cut short to the point where I was practically bald...I did this so I'd know how long it's going to take for me to grow my hair long enough for cornrows...I knew 3mos wasn't going to be long enough, but does anybody know about how long it'll take if I started with almost no hair?

HOW LONG IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET MY HAIR BRAIDED? It's my first time...?

It depends on how fast your hair can grow. i would say 2-3 inches is enough to get started but it also depends on who braids your hair. some ppl can work with short hair while others need the hair to be long enough to hold on to, without having the hair slip between their fingers. i also believe that it will be easier on the person doing the cornrows if they have good experience with it.

HOW LONG IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET MY HAIR BRAIDED? It's my first time...?

You want to braid your hair now that you dont have any?Don't get your question really. But if you have abit,i believe you can add exention to do it.

HOW LONG IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET MY HAIR BRAIDED? It's my first time...?

Ummm, I don't know how to French Braid my own hair. Help??

French braiding hair is sorta tricky. You need to have done it alot to make it go fast but here are some instructions....

1.) Start by gathering a handful of hair.

2.) Divide into 3 sections, like regular braiding. Cross the left section over the center section.

3.) Cross the right section of hair over the new center section.

4.) Cross the left section over the center section. Add some new hair to the new center section.

5.) Cross the right section over the center section. Add more hair to the center section.

6.) Cross the left section over the center. Add more hair to the new center section.

7.) Cross the right section oer the centersection. Add more hair to the new center section.

8.) Continue until finished, and then band hair together.

HUGE BIG TIP- Cross the hair over the middle BEFORE adding new hair to each section.

ANOTHER BIG TIP- Spritz hair with water or hair spray to make braiding easier

Hope this helps =]

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

My hair is naturally straight. It's almost impossible to get waves with curlers and its hard for my to use a curling iron without frying my hair. Braiding it overnite doesn't work either.

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

Usually using foam curlers overnight starting with damp hair makes the most long-lasting curls possible. If that's not enough try soaking your damp hair in tons of "hard" hair gel first (it won't really be hard when it dries in long hair!) and make sure that you're hair isn't so wet that it won't dry overnight... if it dries before the curlers come out you'll have the most persistent curls. Then in the morning if necessary spray everything with hairspray and let it dry before taking out the curlers. If that doesn't work nothing will! Unless you want to go and get a perm...

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

I'm sure braiding it overnite would help you just need to apply a gel or mousse to it. Also try a wet-set using curlers with setting lotion and rolling it and letting it air-dry or sitting under a hooded dryer. Another option is hot rollers with a little mist of hair spray before you put them in.

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

I have used Pumping Curls by Loreal. Just spray it in your damp hair and scrunch it while blow-drying. For extra volume hang your head upside down while blow-drying. I also have straight hair and that is what I do.

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

BUY THAT SHAPING MOOSE AND FINGER TWIST LITTLE SECTIONS OF YOUR HAIR.

YOU DONT HAVE TO TAKE THE TWISTS OUT,LEAVE THEM IN AND IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES YOU'LL SEE THE RESULTS.

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

twisting sections of damp hair and then pinning them down overnight or using soft curlers overnight works for me too. if your hair is still resistant, maybe you need some hair product like gel and hairspray to keep the hold

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

Towel dry your hair, flip it over and spray "Guts" from REDKEN on your hair. Scrunch it, and twist it with your fingers. Then spray hairspray on it, and continue to scrunch. After you do this, then let your hair airdry, don't blowdry it. If you want, you can add a bit of gel and scrunch that in, too. Good Luck :)

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

Well a couple things you can do is use hair curlers/sponge curlers and spray hairspray on them when they dry.

You can also try using a heavy mousse, it's meant to keep curls intact and it helps curl them a bit.

You can also try getting a perm, it costs money, but if it's what you really want, go to a hairstylist and ask for a perm.

Good luck! :-)

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

hi, yes there are ways.....

1.find some really good hair gel and liquid hairspray

2.after getting out of the shower towel dry your hair , but not too much where it will dry the hair ,( you will still need wetness.)

3.brush out the tangles ,then after doing that rock your hair in the air 1 time

4.apply gel and alittle bit of hairspray and if you have a diffuser then do use that(its the best)

5.scrunge your hair with your hands all around as drying the hair with diffuser.

6.you will need a bunch of butterfly clips

7.grab pieces of hair and scrunge it to the scalp and clip

8.repeat till you get all hair clipped up

9.wait for about 15 or 20 min to put hair down

10.Finally,After hair is down use the diffuser once again and scrunge the rest of the hair dry .then apply hairspray

Is there any way to get my straight hair to hold waves?

If you have a stubborn straight hair, you can go to a professional salon to get a perm. No, it doesn't have to be the Shirley Temple kind. The perm will keep your hair from straightening, and you can occassionally use a curling iron to enhance your curls. Using some light mousse with conditioner after using a curling iron will also help keep its shape without the crunchy hard feeling.

And the best part, if you want it straight again, you can style it back straight too.

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

okay, i use my curling iron and hairspray after how can it stay ? and also, how do you krinkle your hair ? braiding it and leaving it overnight does not work -.-

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

well im a guy so i probably wouldnt know...but i heard that some hair just isnt made for curling.

personally i prefer straightened hair though.

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

if you want a permanent curl.. you should go to the salon.. using the curling iron wont have permanent effect on your hair.. same with braiding..

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

put gasoline in a spray bottle and spray that on your hair before applying curling iron

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

Maybe you're using a bad curling iron. Did you drown your hair in hairspray?

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

Okay, irons are not safe, why? coz they damage your hair, and it makes your hair dry when you use it everyday. It won't stay because it doesn't have medicine (the one they place).

If you want to spend money, just go to the salon and let them do it. In that way it stays permanently!

Let me know for more advice!

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

there is a crinkling iron, it heats llike a curling iron. I have flat hair and the best thing I have used is Caruso hot steam rollers. When you take the rollers out your hair may be a little damp so let it dry a few minutes. Hold head upside down to brush it out. Poof-it stays.

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

For long lasting curls you have to wet set. That's simply applying gel or a setting lotion to your hair and rolling your hair after a wash and sitting under a hair dryer until it's dry and pull out the rollers and fluff with your hand or comb through for desired style. The bigger the rollers, the looser the curl and vice versa.

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

You can krinkle it with a crimping (krimping?) iron, sold where the curling irons are sold as far as I know.

If you use the curling iron the curl stays in best if you use one of the styling spritzes that are aimed for use with curling irons. (Therma Silk makes one). Spritz the hair before you apply the iron, and the iron dries out the spritz.

I have very straight hair, and I find that it helps to go around my head once to "get the straight out" and then again to put the curls in to stay. Maybe its not how professionals would do it, but it works for my straight here.

If you use spray after the curls are out and combed/brushed into place use a spray that has flexibility if you're going to do a lot of combing/brushing because a non-flexible spray will pull out the curls when you comb or brush it. On the other hand, if the hairstyle is to be kind of set into place and not to be combed much again use the "glue kind" of hairspray.

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

its better if u goto saloon

Im always curling my hair w/ a curling irong. but it never stays ?!?

The way I made my hair crinckly/curly in my profile picture...If you click the link below is I used a curling iron called the vidal sasson Gold Series Proffesional 3-Barrel Waver and it is really easy to use. I use the Aussie Instant Freeze Hairspray...which you can get all of this at WalMart.

My hair is very silky and hard to keep curls but the waves stay in great. I just take sections of my hair starting underneath, and I spray a little bit of the hairspray on my hair then I clamp the iron down on my hair starting at the roots then unclamp and reclamp working your way down to the bottom. Then when I'm all done i give another spritz of the hairspray...the also have 12hour dehumidifier hairspray by aussie that has less hold that will probably work.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

It says right in the bible you are to look humble and look good in your "works",

So why can't you where costly cloths, pearls and gold or braided hair?

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

Not all of them

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

Because that is one of those biblical injunctions that apply to everyone *else*.

.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

i am not against these things. But the inside is more important than the outside.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

An unbeliever can't possibly interpret the scriptures.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

Depends what religion specifically. I'm cristian catholic and we aren't against any of those. Research online or something lol.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

The biblical passage to which you're referring (1 Corinthians 11) is addressing women who dressed up like prostitutes then came to church. It's not a slam against jewelry in and of itself.

However, Christians are to be humble and not store up treasures on the earth, so in that sense, you have a valid point.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

Aren't you answering your own question?

The passage is not forbidding those things. it is saying that is not what your beauty should be based on.

On the other hand, if you were exposed to a little bit of the needless suffering in this world, you would probably think twice about some of those expenses, and try to give a little more where it could help.

However the braided hair passage is NOT a prohibition, but telling you what should make you really beautiful.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

I'm sure that's at the top of their list along with shunning porks and devil people, aren't they just nice?

Although the Pope wore Gucci glasses and Prada shoes so who knows...

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

They do wear all that expensive stuff, haven't you ever went to church.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

The 'christians' who are, are usually the ones that are afraid to ask God for those things...it is the LOVE of those things that is not good and if you love things more than you love God that's when the problem start

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

You can if you have been perfected in spirit first. If not then you are merely parading your beauty and gold before man and GOD.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

It depends on which church you go to. Jim Baker and Tammy Faye didn't have any problem with living like a king and queen. The pope and cardinals don't do bad for themselves either.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

Nothing ungodly about wearing nice things. The exhortation to look humble was to have a humble look about us, meaning our attitude, not to walk around proud.

Jesus wore a nice tunic. At His crucifixion the Roman soldiers cast lots for this garment because it was made from a single piece of material and they didn't want to tear it up dividing it among themselves.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

MOST CHRISTIANS LIKE THOSE THINGS AND DO WEAR FANCY CLOTHES AND BRAID THEIR HAIR TOO.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

well... some denominations are against all of that. some have various standards of dress. for example, some pentocostal churches require no makeup, not cutting hair (for females) wearing little or no jewelry, and wearing long skirts. most denominations encourage modesty.... except catholics!! and i'm allowed to say that because 1/2 my family is catholic.

and yes, i agree with the bible can't necessarily be taken literally... because it was passed through many sets of hands

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

some are against it... some are not... i braid my daughters hair all the time... i wear jewelry... i think it all has to do with the motive of your heart and not the outside 'garb' of life... if people would stop judging by the outsides and look inside people's hearts.... that is what is important.

I get tired of people who say 'so n so dresses so grubby for church' ... or 'my goodness, that shirt is awful low cut' or 'that skirt is too short'

my feeling is taht God wants us to come worship him just the way we are... we do not have to put on airs... nor do we have to 'dress down'.... God knows the motives of our hearts!

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

I don`t have a problem with it.Some churches say you shouldn`t draw attention to yourself.I`ve heard it said that by women looking good that they could cause a man to lust after them.I don`t believe any of that,I think you should dress according to the way you feel.If your a christian your going to dress to look good in your own eyes and Gods.Jewelry is another put down in some churches. They say you shouldn`t spend money on things while others are going hungry. But Then you`ll see them driving a real high price car. There`s no commandment saying what you should wear being its clothes or jewelry.I believe the braided hair is mentioned in the Bible but I`d have to look it up,I have a feeling its probably some custom that wasn`t from the Christians but probably the gentiles. So it was probably frowned upon for some reason back then in the early church.Like I said I`d have to go back and study on that one.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

The apostel Peter was addressing the culuture of his today. He sent a message to the Jews not to imitate worldly people and their lust for material things. It is okay for Christians to wear jewelry and nice clothes, but not to lust and over accessorize as the world does. Remember king Solomon was filthy rich. As for the "braids", this was in reference to Jewish women who were braiding their hair to say they were manly in nature or the man in their household. The braiding of hair was something on the men did in Jewish culture and was identified with men. For a women to braid her hair, she was saying she held the role of a man.

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

hi cleo e,

here are my answers to your questions

1) You ask:

Are Christians against expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair?

My answer:

True christians and the way our church practice are against all these expensive fancy cloths, jewelry and braided hair. All our women christians does not practice braided hair, nor wears jewelry nor expensive fancy cloths. Our church practice this because it was written in the bible as part of the teachings that should be followed by christians which was written in

1Timothy2:9

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

======================

You said:

It says right in the bible you are to look humble and look good in your "works",

My remarks:

Yes, it was written in 1 Peter 3:3-5

3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

I want to get my hair braided?

Corn rows give your hair more volume while single braids make them grow longer. Here are some cues to help you out :

#1

you can't leave your extensions in for more than 3 weeks

#2

wash and condition your hair at least once a week

#3

oil your hair every morning and evening (see why you need to wash it more often?)

As long as you follow these steps... your hair is not gonna fall out

Good luck

How do you add REAL looking dreadlock extensions to hair?

There have been a lot of guys contact me (I work at a Hair Braiding shop) wanting to either make thier dreadlocks longer or turn their medium afro into dreadlocks that fall down their backs. Ive started out some of these same guys baby dreads for them but I have no idea how to add extensions that look real. I know the double ended dreadlock technique and that works really great on my clients with really straight and fine hair but the more course the hair gets the less attractive the finished product. I need to know how to add dreadlock extensions to kinky hair so that it mixes in perfectly and adds length and if you can add extensions to hair that isnt dreaded already. Will It in any way be possible for me to turn a 3 inch afro into waist length dreadlocks that look real and all natural? Thank you for reading this and all of your help is MUCH appreciated. Thank you ~oX Jasz Xo~

How do you add REAL looking dreadlock extensions to hair?

The dread lock extensions on males really do not look natural, in my opinion. You could try adding the afro-kinky type hair by braiding just 2 or 3 times and then doing a coil type twist. I've never done this, but that's the only option I can think of. The kinky twists would just look - well, horrible for a guy. There are of course the sealed type of extensions that you could possibly do with the kinky hair, but again, how great will that look on a guy. I would suggest experimenting on a guy to see what can work. Otherwise, stick with telling them that you can do baby locks to start and they will have to just grow it out naturally like everyone else who has locks.

you can get a video at Stylistonline.com for the afro kinky dreds If done correctly they look very natural . You must use human hair however! Good Luck Report It

1Timothy2:9

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

======================

You said:

It says right in the bible you are to look humble and look good in your "works",

My remarks:

Yes, it was written in 1 Peter 3:3-5

3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

Is there a way to curl hair without damaging it at all?

I heard of people that hot rollers can damage hair and so can curling irons. I have naturally straight hair so any curling products (curling mousse etc.) won't work on my hair. Braiding makes it all frizzy. So is there any other way to get like loose curls without damaging your hair at all?

Is there a way to curl hair without damaging it at all?

ANY kind of heat on your hair is going to stress it out! Heat is NOT natural to your hair and without the proper protection, it will damage.

I have thick, long, shiny hair. I rarely use heat on it. Maybe on a Saturday night when Im going out. If you use a curling iron on well moisturized hair now and then, it will not affect your hair much at all. Just give it a good recovery with a deep moisture shampoo the next time you wash to prevent it from becoming brittle.

Go ahead, curl your hair now and then - Its not going to fall out.

Is there a way to curl hair without damaging it at all?

Buy using plastic rollers is the best way.

I want to get my hair braided?

and im trying to grow my hair out. im going to put extenstions. can you please give me some hairstyles that will not pull my hair out?

I want to get my hair braided?

Braids are very good for your hair and helps you grow your hair out, especially in the winter time. Trust me I know I braid hair myself....so definately go with braids and maitain it well.

Good luck

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

my hair is thick with a slight natural wave to it, but i want it wavier. i have tried scrunching my hair %26amp;%26amp; braiding it when it is wet %26amp;%26amp; sleeping in it, but for some reason it doesn't work. when i wake up in the morning one side is wavier then the other %26amp;%26amp; it looks werid. i want my hair to like this picture of beyonce.

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

Go to a girl's store that has like jewlery and stuff...Then by spiral curlers and put them in at night so when you take them out they will look like that..! %26lt;%26lt;33

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

use a pro.

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

wow well that is Beyonce and she probably got it professionally done (they cost a lot of money $100-$1000). depending on how wavy your hair is, go to a salon and bring that picture with you.

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

Use the largest rollers you can. Or a hot air brush.

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

3-barrel curling iron

or

curling iron

now if you dont want to fry your hair eventually

then have you tryed using mousse before you braid or put your hair in a bun???

cause thats the only way that your hair will take the shape of it

i say use mousse

then put your hair in to messy buns that way you gaurantee that your hair will be evenly curly on both sides :)

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

The first step is to dampen your hair down with a light leave-in condition (I recommend Bumble and Bumble's Prep).

Second step is to apply a thickening spray from the roots to ends of the hair (I use Bumble and Bumble's Thickening Spray).

Section the hair off into many ponytails, and then braid and rubber band tightly. The smaller the braids, the more kinky the hair texture. The larger the braids, the more loose the waves.

Completely dry the hair, and then take a flat iron to every braid to lock in those crimpy waves.

Cut the rubber bands carefully and release.

Finish off with a grooming cream for the added moisture and separation. (I use Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream).

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

just wet your hair and it will look wavy do not wet it to much

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

try Texturize by Pantene they have a spray to scruch hair and works very well

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

there a curling iron that u can get that has that kind of spiral curls to it that would probally do it, and u can try braiding it, when it's not wet cuzz when your hair is wet it's not gunna curl

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

I'm not really sure about this, but you could just curl your hair with a curling iron, gently brush it out, and hairspray it in sections. It's worth a try.

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

here's how i get MY hair wavy (with big ringlet type waves...)

take a bigger sized curling ironand grab an inch wide piece of hair... wrap it around your curling iron on the OUTSIDE, not under the little clamper arm thing.

Now her hair is EXTREMELY long so it might be a little bouncier on you.... just play around with different sized pieces of hair and different amounts of time to hold it and i'm sure you'll figure it out... just make sure the piece of hair is thoroughly combed and smooth!!

good luck =D

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

Alls you have to do is buy curlers for your hair. They work really good in your hair. Although it depends on your texture of your hair. If you have fine hair than put a lot of hair spray on it before you take them out. If you have thick hair keep them in longer. Or if you don't want to use curlers. Than use a curling iron. They work too but the curlers are easier. It might not look like Beyonce' s hair cause she gets it prefesionally done but it still looks great. Hope that helped

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

Beyonce is maybe one of the richest women alive now, so..she most likely has some famous salon man do her hair. But, you could try washing your hair with Pantene Curl shampoo and conditioner. They work well, since I have curly/wavy hair..I would know. Anyways, you should put in a straightening balm ONLY at the roots. Then, if its not straight enough, straighten the top area and tips. After straightening the WHOLE thing -shesh..should take a while- take a curling iron and curl the ends. Ive done this before, and looks almost exactly the same -depends on if you have more curly hair..like me, should turn out more curly than wavy..but STILL pretty!-

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

dont sleep with your hair wet. dry it first. then brush it out, put hairspary on and braid it. thats what i do. and im getting mine cut 2morrow reallly short, to my shoulder and i am gonna do a "spring break makeover"

How to get wavy hair like this pic?

Do you know how to French Braid hair and is it something I could do myself?

If you know how to French Braid hair,{and I hope I am saying it right} can you tell me how I can do my own without anyones help?

Do you know how to French Braid hair and is it something I could do myself?

I can do it on other's hair but I can't do it onmyself

what you do is start off like a regular braid (three sections) just with a smaller section of hair. As you go along just scoop up another small piece of hair %26amp; continue going untill you get all your hair into the braid. Make sure you get the hair real tight or you'll end up with a really lose braid

my mom says you just pull the hair in little by little...and well the opposite of french braiding makes it cornrows/braids

i think it would be hard to do it yourself though...but i tried to and i have trouble pulling the hair together or how ever you say it.

i think it is easy i do my sis's all the time but i cant do it my self ......it takes practice

Any easy way to french braid your own hair?

It looks really complicated when I've tried to figure out how to do this by googling it online. I've never had french braided hair but it looks so nice on other ladies that I thought I'd like to try it. Anyone know how it's done?

Any easy way to french braid your own hair?

It is very easy once you get the hang of it.

1. Start by wetting your hair to make it easier to hold onto.

2. Then pull your hair by the ears up and gather all of it.

3. Braid that hair normally, but stop after about 2 inches.

4. Pull hair from each side of your head into the existing braid.

5. Braid normally again and keep stopping to pull more hair into braid until it is all up.

Once you get the hang of it you can make the braid tighter by pulling hair in more often. Also, I usually put a small amount of gel on my hair to make the braid last longer. Good Luck!

Any easy way to french braid your own hair?

its really hard to do it yourself maybe u should tell one of your friends how to do and ask them to do it 4 u

Any easy way to french braid your own hair?

I can french braid my own hair, and I think the secret of it is utilizing those thumbs!!

1. pull back front chunk of hair

2. with right hand, hold down chunk of hair while left hand grabs left chunk and pulls to the right

3. left hand holds the combined chunks, separating the two with a finger, while right hand grabs right chunk and pulls it left.

repeat those steps until you are fully braided and then secure!

Hope this helps! It is a little hard to explain! I suggest practicing on wet hair, as that holds the best, and you can section off chunks of hair for yourself! That's what I did.

Good luck!!

Any easy way to french braid your own hair?

take three big parts of the hair and plat it together it will take a while but if you really want to do this you will try. i know you will come to learn how to do it. good luck and god bless

Any easy way to french braid your own hair?

French braiding your own hair can make your arms tired if you have long hair. First take three [big] pieces of hair from the middle of your hairline and take the left to the middle of the 3 pieces then the right to the middle. After that everytime you take the left piece, you add some hair frmo the left side to it and take some more hair from the right side to add to the right piece. (When adding hair, you should take it from the hairline first, then continue taking the pieces of hair closest to your face) So it is pretty much regular braiding but adding more hair as you go. Good luck!

Is there any type of synthetic hair that is just as good or very similar to human hair?

Hi, my mom found me this lady that's going to do micro braids on my hair. The only problem is she says that the lady only braids with synthetic and that she can't use human hair. I've always gotten human hair in the past because it looks better and is easier to style and stuff. I was going to see if i can find someone else, but I already need to get my hair braided soon and she's doing it this weekend. Is there any type of synthetic hair that is just as good if not better/similar to human hair? I don't want any of that shiny stuff. Like I heard tokyo kanekelon is good, but idk. Please help. I've used synthetic before and I hated it so I'm just trying to see if there is any synthetic hair that is almost like human.

Btw, are the some people who just have difficulty braiding with human hair? Because this is the first time I've ever met someone who didn't want me to bring human hair.

Is there any type of synthetic hair that is just as good or very similar to human hair?

Maybe she's allergic to the fiber??? That doesn't really make sense though, because if she were to be allergic to anything, it would probably be synthetic fiber, as that is the type to generally cause skin reactions if any (not to scare you!). My guess is that she probably finds it difficult to braid with human hair since it is so soft and fine; it takes a bit longer. Since I've made the transition from Synthetic to Human (I braid my hair myself), I've noticed that it is takes a bit more time - synthetic fiber is rougher so it tends to hold easier as opposed to human hair which will slip out easily if your grip isn't just right as you apply each braid. That's probably her reasoning....

Anyhow, on to your real question. The last time I did my hair, I was on a budget. I wanted wet and wavy, but the prices at the store had skyrocketed! Thank goodness the sales girl I was talking to was ALSO on a budget, and showed me what she was currently braiding in her hair.... it was perfect, it almost looked better than wet and wavy. The brand name of the hair is called Freetress. I think somewhere on the pack it says "The synthetic hair that thinks it's human" or something like that, and it also says somewhere that you can curl it. Here is a link I found, but Google 'Freetress' some more, and you may see different stuff. http://store.goldenmartbeautysupply.com/...

I live in Canada, and each pack I bought was $7.99, so if you're Amercian, then you can anticipate it being even more affordable. I bought 7 packs and only used about 4.

When I first saw your question, I also would have suggested "Just Like Human" Hair, which comes from many different brand names, and it's less than half the price of Human Hair............... but for the reason I stated above, the woman probably wouldn't want to braid with that either.

PLEASE do not buy Toyokalon, or Kanekalon fiber. Lordie. No. Especially not for Micro braids, your head will be sooo heavy, and I think that hair just looks tacky, I used to do it when I was back in junior high. And like you said, the shininess of Toyokalon....no. And because you're doing Micro, the neatness of your roots will highly outlast the quality of the hair for so many reasons. That type hair is for average sized braids, and again, it is too heavy (micro braids are dangerous as it is, and the hair will put way too much pressure on the roots) I'm sorry I keep going on, but I can't stress enough, no straight Toyokalon! Kanekalon will just take too much styling (hot water, combing, crying) to keep it in check for that style.

I'm sorry, I understand your dilema. I also understand that you're on time restrictions (I hope this reply didn't come too late). If you could find Freetress though, that would probably be your best bet. Otherwise, I would advise you to just talk to the people in the beauty store (if they're knowledgable; sometimes they're really not)

And just a final word of advice about the microbraids (if you wouldn't have done this) when they start moving away from the roots around the hairline and 'hanging' (especially if it hurts) pull the braid out, mosturize the hair, and try to re-apply it yourself, or get someone to do it. They're beautiful, but not too hot on the ever-so delicate hairline.

Good luck! I hope it turns out the way you want it to..........I'm braiding my hair this weekend too :)

Is there any type of synthetic hair that is just as good or very similar to human hair?

No prob, I'm glad it came on time; I was pretty sure you had already started braiding lol.....good luck ;) Report It

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

My daughter needs her hair french braided for a competition this weekend and I don't know how to do it. A salon wants atleast $20.00 to do it and I don't want to pay that much. I found a friend of a friend to do it for me, but I'm not sure how much I should pay her. My daughter's hair is a few inches past the shoulder and she will need 2 braids. What do you think?

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

Usually french braiding takes like 5 minutes, and charging 20 bucks for 5 minutes is a rip off, like 5 or 10$ should be enough. I'd do it for free if you lived near me :P It's no hassle.

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

about $5 thats enough as french braids dont take long to do

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

20 sounds like a good price but maybe try to tell her 10.00

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

If your mate nothing if your going into a salon theyd probably make you pay 鎷?.00!! Id do it for nothing hunn!!

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

Did your friend volunteer? If so, then you shouldn't have to pay her at all. Maybe take her to lunch one day as a thank you or if you feel like you have to pay her, leave a thank you note with what you feel like paying.

I paid $10 to have mine done 10 years ago. So, $20 is probably a good rate especially for 2 braids. However, I taught myself to do it and save the money now.

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

I would not pay to have it done. It is very easy to learn how to do. I actually taught myself how to french braid my own hair at the age of 12.

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

If a friend of a friend want to do it, then why not buy here flowers in stead of paying ? Or ask here in for a drink.

I know $20 sounds much (Salon price), but don't forget that they have to make a living out of that. So asking a friend is a good thing to do.

How much should I pay someone to french braid hair?

That is ridiculous. Have the friends' friend do it, and bring a gift over as a thank you, or pay her 10 bucks, tops.

Or, you can go to a website or find a book that can teach you how to do it. They are everywhere, and it is super easy once you learn.

How do you transition from relaxed hair to natural hair?

I had a bad hair braiding experience and decided that I don't want to relax my hair anymore after I took the braids out. I know nothing about making the transition. Ultimately I hope to have loose curls (similar to what I had when I was younger). But, I know what my current new growth looks like so are looser curls acheiveable? Also, what the heck is a texturizer and at what point would you use one (if you made the decision to get it)?

How do you transition from relaxed hair to natural hair?

well you have 2 options:

1: cut the relax and start brand new without the headache of 2 entirely different textures

2: grow out the relaxer with regular trims.

If you grow out the relaxer take some kind of supplements to help keep it strong as you're transitioning.

Natural hair requires different type of products and care than relaxed hair. Treasuredlocks.com has really good products for natural hair. I'm using the elixir while i transition. it makes the new growth easier to comb through and keeps it all moisturized. you will need to find a protective style as well such as a bun or braids

I also suggest that you visit

motowngirl.com and nappturality.com

to read up on how to care for you hair both while transitioning and once you're all natural. they have various natural recipes for your hair and describe exactly how to do some of the protective styles that work well while transitioning. Also if you don't have a support system to keep you from relaxing your hair you can join an online group or join a meet up. They have some in bigger cities like ATL and Balitmore. Since natural hair is a big thing now more and more are popping up you can google them and i'm sure find one near you. Good luck!!

How do you transition from relaxed hair to natural hair?

I made the same transition a year ago, because I want my hair to grow. First thing to do is, of course, wash your hair. Next thing is to grow out all the chemical and heat processing you did to your hair.

To do this, you will need to trim your hair every 6-8 weeks. Keep your hair conditioned at all times, and if you choose, you have your hair pressed(or flat ironed). MAKE YOUR THE STYLIST USES MEDIUM HEAT! Nothing worse than fried hair.

Seek out a hair stylist you are comfortable with. Tell he/she want you want to do, and they will help you and give you tips on how to go from relaxed to natural.

Good luck!

Getting hair braided in a african salon question..?

I am wondering, i am a male ... and if i wanted to get cornrows i remember that they put weave pieces on my friends hair, can i ask them not too? and why do they do that? thanks

Getting hair braided in a african salon question..?

It may have depended on how much hair your friend had. They probably did it to make the cornrows look fuller. You can ask them not to put it in yours, it shouldn't be a problem.

Getting hair braided in a african salon question..?

If the hair is too short, they will add hair to it, to catch the braid better and make it tighter, and so that it stays braided longer. You can ask them not to add the hair, its your money, it will smell bad faster, all FAKE hair , yes ALL FAKE HAIR smells really bad once it gets wet, esp in braids, I used to braid hair, it will itch a lot too, good luck

Getting hair braided in a african salon question..?

fake hair does not smell bad when it gets wet...it does that when you don't take care of it. A hair stylist will do your hair however you want. If you do not want weave braided into your hair then just say so. They cannot make you add hair in if you do not want to, you're paying them! They may have added hair to your friend to make it longer or if he has really fine hair it could have been to make it last longer and catch better.

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

1Ti 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array.

This is in the new testament...and fundamentalists say we should interpret everything literal in the new testament...a lot of church ladies headed down the path of hell...Men, why would you let your women sin like this?

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

*tugging on braid*

Good point! Although not Christian, I can't believe that even braids and tiny post earrings get you a one-way ticket to Hell!

*looks at gold wedding band*

Ack!! I'm really screwed!

*counts 10 earrings*

Oy vey, gonna need some sunblock for this trip...

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

no that is not true!

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

You honestly can't discern between an appeal to dress modestly and describing character traits which are not fit for heaven? Can we start a children's R%26amp;S section?

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

The term braided hair in this verse refers to weaving strands of gold or silver into the hair. it does not mean french braiding.

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

Yup, right along side their husbands who wear those tacky polycotton and the wool poly blend suits instead of the togas

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

There are SO many things they chose to ignore.

They could have a one page bible if they only included what they actually practice...

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

I'm not sure. If I meet any "fundies" I'll be sure to ask.

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

We don't pick and choose which ones to take literally. It's called studying. We take in the social climate at the time the book was written and determine if what they were railling about was jewelry and hair fashion, in this case, or was there a reason they used this particular language. For instance, temple prostitutes of the pagan gods at that time period wore their hair braided, and wore jewelry to attract men to their services. The part about dressing immodestly isn't a bad idea. I personally don't care for the young women who come to church in micro mini skirts. Oh, I like seeing them, I just don't think church is the place for a mini skirt.

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

see god is not concerned with petty things like this. he's concerned with who is having sex with who and the correct manner in which you slavishly obey him.

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

I've wondered about that myself. I guess some people do not want to delve deeper into the Scripture and are just happy to be on the surface.

My Pentecostal friend does this, but when I studied and read this verse I got a whole different meaning. To me it meant instead of spending your time and energy (much like the worldly women), adorning yourself with ostentatious clothing and latest, fancy hairdos, and costly jewelry to attract attention, it is preferable that you choose modest apparel (live within your means) and adorn yourself with the fruit of the Spirit like kindness, gentleness, love, patience, goodness, etc.

So while I don't have a problem with it, it does tend to be legalistically played out in some churches to the point of looking Amish or like the women on Little House on the Prairie.

The Holy Spirit dresses me and lets me know if something is appropriate or not. Accessories are acceptable as long as its not too showy.

Are women who braid their hair, going to hell..or those that wear Gold or pearls?

if a righteous woman braids her hair then she is a righteous woman with braided hair but if a whore gets her hair braided then she is a whore with braided hair. it has nothing to do with their salvation

Glue-in or braided hair extentions???

I'm getting hair extensions tomorrow... Which is better glue-in or braided? And which one last longer?

Glue-in or braided hair extentions???

Glue-in extensions are okay but for a short period of time. They can become matted and if your not careful conditioner and/or hot water can make them come out.

Braided is better although they can tend to itch and become irritated but the following recipe will fix the itch and/or irritation.

Anti-Itch Serum for Scalp

(Use for braids, weaves or for any irritation caused by tension)

1 cups water

1 cup witch hazel

10 drops lavender essential oil

10 drops rosemary essential oil

20 drops tea tree oil

Mix all in a spray bottle. Shake well, and spray on scalp irritations as needed. Keep chilled for extra relief.

Glue-in or braided hair extentions???

Braided is always better, glue breaks off your hair

Glue-in or braided hair extentions???

Braided extensions are better for your hair but they can sometimes fall out quite easily whereas the glued in ones are more likely to stay in your hair. However, glued in extensions can damage your hair and sometimes cause bald patches if left in for a long time.

Guidelines for French Braid hair style with pics plzz?

Anyone plzz tell me how to do French braid hair style? I need the guidlines with pictures.

Guidelines for French Braid hair style with pics plzz?

I don't have any pictures but it is very easy to do. But it takes a little finger dexterity. Comb all hair back including bangs unless you want them hanging. Starting at the middle of the top of the forhead. Pick up a section of hair about 4 inches wide. Divide this into three sections just like you would if your were going to normal braid your hair. Do one braiding, or round, of braiding before you do the next round of braiding pick up some more hair to add to the strands you have in your hands already. You still have three strands they are now just a little thicker. Braid a round again. Pick up more hair and braid around again. Each time you do a braid you are adding hair to each strand from the area that is closest to the strand you are working on. It will take you a few times to get it to come out neat but keep working on it it will come.

How do you braid hair in individuals?

I need to learn how to braid hair so i can make money b4 i go back to school

How do you braid hair in individuals?

UMM, I DONT THINK ANYONE WOULD WANT TO PAY SOMEONE, WHO JUST STARTED BRAIDING, TO BRAID THERI HAIR... UNLESS THEY ARE REALLY DESPERATE.

How do you braid hair in individuals?

What kind of braiding? Simple braiding? French braid?.. German braid? Fishtail?

It has basic braiding explanations and if you're not looking for basic, there are links on 'How To French Braid', 'How To Fishtail braid', 'How to Braid Cornrows', etc, below the article.

How do I braid my own hair correctly.?

I know the concept of braiding, so no need to teach that. I have long blond thick hair. My braid starts out ok but at the end 1 strand will be much shorter than the other 2. My hair is down to my waist and is perfect braiding hair and I love the way it make me look after I take the braid out after a day.

I tend to make braided pigtails easier than a regular braid or a ponytail braid, but pigtails aren't that mainstream for guys to go out in.

I think I have have the most trouble with encountering snags during the braiding process and getting exactly even 3 lengths when I start the braid.

How do I braid my own hair correctly.?

it's impossible for all three strands to stay the same length as you braid it. They are uneven because that's how your hair is. The most you can do is make each strand as even in amount of hair as you can.
