How do I braid my own hair correctly.?

I know the concept of braiding, so no need to teach that. I have long blond thick hair. My braid starts out ok but at the end 1 strand will be much shorter than the other 2. My hair is down to my waist and is perfect braiding hair and I love the way it make me look after I take the braid out after a day.

I tend to make braided pigtails easier than a regular braid or a ponytail braid, but pigtails aren't that mainstream for guys to go out in.

I think I have have the most trouble with encountering snags during the braiding process and getting exactly even 3 lengths when I start the braid.

it's impossible for all three strands to stay the same length as you braid it. They are uneven because that's how your hair is. The most you can do is make each strand as even in amount of hair as you can.
