Can you tell me about getting your hair braided?

How long does my hair have to be to get braided? I have had my hair braided before but that was a long time ago. My hair texture is kinda silky at best.

It depends on the person who does your hair and how skilled he/she is. Some people can braid 1/2 inch hair, but for most people it has to be at least an inch to 2 inches. I have my hair braided all the time, and my hair at the shortest part in the back is 1 1/2 inches. Hope this helps!
