It hurt because the braider it grasping the hair while braiding. Sometimes when they are through the braids are really tight. . Just take a few aspirins prior in getting your hair braided. The braids loosen up but it is not a painful process.

It depends if you are tender-headed. Normally when people have their hair corn rowed, your scalp may feel a lil tight but it will loosen up over a few days. Now if you are tender-headed, then it will hurt. Have someone braid one corn row in your head, if it hurts them you will know.
