Braiding Hair...?

I have know idea how to braid my own hair or anyone else's. I've always used 2 strands of hair, not 3 like ur supposed to do. how do i do that?

They show all the steps to making a 3 braid hope it helps!!

Braiding Hair...?

separate the hair you want to braid into 3 sections . 2 is not a "braid" its more like a twist. Just use the 3 sections and alternate each one...it's better shown that put into words maybe you can get someone to show you how

Braiding Hair...?

i realize that what i am saying isn't an answer but just to clarify:

EITHER CAN I--yay !! rite on!! lol

Braiding Hair...?

take it into three put one piece over the one then the other and so on

Braiding Hair...?

once you get 3 strands take the far left one and put it over the middle then do that with the far right ...repeat

Braiding Hair...?

first you hold the three strands separately in your fingers.

then you cross the right strand over the middle strand.

then you cross the left strand over the new middle strand (this would be the right strand that was crossed over the original middle strand).

repeat.

Braiding Hair...?

i never used to be able to braid hair

then it came naturally!

i have no idea how though...

i think that you are just twisting the two strands of hair together.

take three seperate pieces of hair. then take the left outside section into the middle, then the right, then the left and so on...

its pretty hard to explain

hope this helps!

Braiding Hair...?

Its hard at first, it'll seem really easy once you get it.

Steps:

1. Comb out all the hair. Make sure that there are no tangles.

2. Select section of hair that you wish to braid. It can be on any part of the scalp and can be any amount of hair. If you're starting out, it might be easier to work with a smaller strand of hair because they'll be easier to control.

3. Divide the hair into three even sections. Separate the sections with your hands and make sure they don't mix together at any time.

4. Braid the strands by repeating these two steps until you reach the end of the braid:

* Take the right section and cross it over the center section, so that they switch places.

* Take the left section and cross it over the center section.

5. Use a hair tie to secure the braid. Choose a hair-friendly elastic.

Tips:

* You may wish to use a hair tie to hold the section of hair you wish to braid all together. You may also spray hair spray or use gel on the section of hair before you start to enable the three parts to stay together better.

* If you've never braided before, learn the pattern with thick yarn or ribbon before you start on somebody's hair. It takes some practice to get the feel of it.

* Gentle tension on the braid, pulling down on the strands, will keep the braid snug.

* Take the braid out by unbraiding it from the bottom, the opposite of braiding it.

* Many people find it easier to braid wet hair.

Have a look at Dreamweaver Braiding: there are instructions for a basic three-strand braid (plus lots of advanced fancy stuff that's nice to look at and hellish to do!), and some hints and tips that you might find helpful. The instruction section should be the second tab down on the left.

Con somebody with nice long hair into letting you practice on them, or practice braiding ribbons together if you can't find anybody willing to sit still long enough. Braiding somebody else's hair is easier than braiding your own at first: it's easier when you can see what you're doing!
