French Braiding Hair to Create Waves?

I heard that you can French braid wet hair and leave them in over night to create loose beachy waves. I have never tried this before but I am thinking of doing it tonight. Anyone know the steps I should do?? I'm going to wash my hair then what should I do? Do I spray with a scrunching gel or something and then do 2 French braids? Or what?? How do I do this? lol. And then in the morning when I wake up take them out and what else? spray them or anything?? Thanks!

Okay i do this all the time. Here are the exact steps. Wash your hair and then brush it. Then get some Aussie mousse. (like Catch the Wave leave in conditioner + mousse). Turn your head upside down with your hair still wet and just mix it in your hair. Then let it dry like about 65%. Make sure some it is very slightly damp. Next make 2 french braids if your hair is thick or do one if your hair is thin. Then go to sleep. And in the morning take the braids out. Viola!

Hope this worked for you. :)

I get it done all the time! I actually get a twist set done at my salon. They don't french braid , they twist my hair wet! A lot of people call it flat twist. I don't know what your ethnicity is, but I've done some of my friends hair (different backgrounds) and it helps if you have some sort of product, like gel, or mouse! I'm attaching a link, it gives you step by step directions! Good Luck!
