try hair vitamins and tea tree oil.

braiding works for a while but when you take the braids out your hair starts breaking off

Does braiding your hair really help it grown out?

No not really because your hair is going to grow regardless. When your hair is braided over a amount of time, you tend not to worry about it and yes it do grow, but by braiding your hair it is not like it is a "hair grow fast thing"

P.S. Your hair is going to grow regardless. Shedding 100 strands a day is normal

Does braiding your hair really help it grown out?

Yes it does when I was little I had short hair and my mom told me to braid it to get longer and it worked.

Does braiding your hair really help it grown out?

Its not that it helps it grow, its hat it helps it get longer without immediately breaking off. Its a good thing to do if you have hair that breaks a lot and you want to grow it longer without wearing it up all of the time. Just don't stress the braids and don't get them done too tight and remember not to stress your hair too much after you get them taken out.

Getting your hair braided does not make your hair grow faster. Your hair still grows at the same rate when it is in braids. However, wearing braids will help you KEEP your new growth and minimize breakage (because you are not constantly combing and brushing your fragile hair).

If you are going to braid your hair, use YOUR own hair only. I have noticed that with braid extensions (especially those worn for 2 months or more), the extensions strip your hair of its moisture and also weakens your hair strands. This defeats the whole purpose of trying to promote healthy hair growth. If you must wear extensions, keep your hair well moisturized, cleansed and treated.

Take care***

Does braiding your hair really help it grown out?

It doesn't exactly help your hair grow.

Braids just keep your hair clean and together, and away from anything that might tear or damage it. Braids also prevent tangles from forming, reducing breakage, and when swimming or something, keep dirt and chlorine out of hair.
