Hair braiding in Freeport?

Will be travelling with my 2 daughters (long hair) and suspect that they will be approached by locals to have their hair braided. Is this something we should be at the beginning of our stay (we're there for 9 days) avoid numerous approaches? How much can we expect to pay to have this done?

Be very careful having the girls hair braided. It can get very expensive. They say it's $2 a braid but the braids are very small. It can cost you $50 dollars and up depending on the braids and your child's hair. Also beware of sunburn on your girls head between the braids.

You will be approached, even my husband was approached lol.

If you want to do it, confirm price in advance. Check the straw market, someone told us they paid 20 dollars for the whole head there. But that's rare.

Have a great trip.)

It's very expensive.. My daughter was nagged non stop. Just say , "no thanks" and keep moving.

If you want to have it done, be sure to use sunblock on there heads (between the braids).

I wish I could remember the exact amount they charge for you. Just keep in mind the braids are tiny and they can fit a ton on your head, so It may sound cheap, but when they finish you may be surprised at how much it ended up costing. Good Luck
